Careers Education is an integral part of the Personal and Social Education of all students, with particular emphasis being placed on individual action planning in Years 10 and 11.

Work experience for targeted Year 10 students takes place during the year. Work placements are organised with the aid of the Work Experience Team, which forms part of the Durham Business and Education Executive. The Work Experience Team, Business Ambassadors, the Connexions Careers Service and Pastoral Tutors advise students to ensure that they make informed choices.
