St John’s Students Enjoy Unforgettable Wimbledon Experience
Last week, 70 students from St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College in Bishop Auckland enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Wimbledon, experiencing one of the world's most prestigious sporting events. The adventure began with a very early start, as students departed school at 2am and even managed to watch the England game on the coach journey south.

A group of Year 9 and Year 10 students from St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College recently attended the annual Summer Festival at Emmaus Youth Village, organised by the Youth Ministry Team. This year's festival was centred on the theme "Behold", encouraging young people to recognise God's presence in their lives, embrace new opportunities and respond courageously to the challenges and possibilities before them.
Little Shop of Horrors Wows Audiences at St John’s Catholic School
Students at St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College have enjoyed tremendous success with this year's production of Little Shop of Horrors, performing to more than 850 audience members across a series of performances. The production included two evening performances, a primary school matinee and a special performance for Year 6 pupils attending Induction Days.

Year 7 Students Explore High Force on Geography Field Trip
Year 7 students at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form in Bishop Auckland have enjoyed their first Geography field trip, with every tutor group visiting High Force in Middleton-in-Teesdale over the past month. The educational visits gave students the opportunity to learn more about one of the region’s most famous natural landmarks while developing their understanding of waterfalls, rock formations and the surrounding landscape.

The awards evening honoured students for demonstrating key virtues at the heart of the school community, including respect, compassion, resilience, justice, honesty, self-belief, responsibility and confidence.
