Our timings for our school day are outlined below and we operate a 2 week timetable at St John’s. Each day begins with congregation for every year group in specific, designated areas. Congregation begins at 8:45am and all students need to be in there congregation areas at this time where they will be met by their pastoral tutors, Heads and Assistant Heads of Year.
After congregation, students go with their tutors to their pastoral bases for PREP. Being prepared for learning is the key to success and we reinforce our high standards on a daily basis through PREP and throughout our subject lessons.
PREP is a key part of every day which includes our daily prayer, registration, equipment and planner checks.
At St John’s, we hold our students to the highest standards and expectations so that they can fulfil their potential and become the best version of themselves. We expect them to excel academically and to embody the values that define our community. We anticipate that every student will engage actively in their education, demonstrating positive attitudes to learning, showing tremendous commitment, and a willingness to challenge themselves.
By aiming for excellence at all times, we endeavour to support our young people to excel at every level of their education at St John’s. By working in partnership with parents and carers, we are all committed to reinforcing our high standards and expectations so that our young people can fulfil their potential and realise their dreams.
