Outline of Course: Students will study a variety of Philosophical and Ethical ideas with an emphasis on Roman Catholic Church Teaching. Students will explore key beliefs from the Catholic Church and compare these views with other Christian views and Islam
Units of Study: Unit 3: Religion and Life, Unit 8: Religion and Society

This course will appeal to those students who:
- Have an interest in and an enthusiasm for the study of religion
- Can use an enquiring, critical and empathetic approach to the study of religion
- Enjoy discussing and reflecting upon various moral and ethical issues
- Would like to do a subject which offers varied career opportunities
After studying AS or A2 Religious Studies you will be an ideal candidate for working with others and communicating with others. The course could prepare students for a wide range of different university courses and careers in Teaching, Social Services, Counselling, the Police Force and the Armed Forces.
