Last night, St John’s was transformed into a glittering celebration of all things festive and film‑inspired as we welcomed a sell‑out audience to Christmas at the Movies. It was an evening packed with sparkle, joy, and the unmistakable magic of Christmas classics brought to life through music, dance and poetry.
From the gentle charm of The Snowman to the mischievous fun of The Grinch, the wintry wonder of The Polar Express to the heartfelt warmth of Love Actually, our performers took us on a cinematic journey through the most beloved Christmas films. Each piece added its own slice of holiday spirit, showcasing the incredible creativity and dedication of our students.
The talent on display tonight was nothing short of exceptional. Our Orchestra, Choir, Chamber Choir, Handchime Ensemble, Little Shop of Horrors Cast, KS3 Drama Club, and our wonderful soloists delivered performances filled with confidence, expression and festive cheer. Every moment on stage reflected the hard work they have put in throughout the term — and the applause spoke for itself!
A very special thank you must go to Miss Bell, Miss Liddle, Mrs Rose and Miss Casewell, whose passion and commitment made this magical evening possible. Their dedication to creating inspiring opportunities within the Performing Arts continues to enrich the lives of our students and the wider school community.
