At St. John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College, we are passionate about nurturing talent and opening doors to exciting opportunities in the creative industries. This term, our Year 9 students took part in inspiring career-focused trips designed to broaden their horizons and inform their future choices.
One highlight was the Creative Careers Carousel at Ushaw Historic House, where students explored a wide range of roles within the creative sector. They had the chance to:
- Engage with industry professionals across diverse creative fields.
- Take part in hands-on activities in music, collection management, marketing, and green screen technology.
- Gain valuable insights into the skills and pathways needed for success in the creative world.
The afternoon was a fantastic opportunity for students to discover the breadth of careers available in performing arts and creative industries, leaving them inspired and excited as they prepare to make their GCSE option choices later this year.
