On Tuesday, 30 of our Year 9 students had an inspiring opportunity to attend the Creative Careers Carousel at Ushaw Historic House, near Bishop Auckland. This event was designed to showcase the exciting possibilities within the creative industries and help students explore future career paths.
Hands-On Creative Experiences
Throughout the afternoon, students engaged with industry professionals from a wide range of creative sectors. They took part in interactive activities covering areas such as:
- Music and sound production
- Collection management and heritage work
- Marketing and communications
- Green screen technology and digital media
These sessions gave students a real insight into the skills and opportunities available in creative careers.
Inspiring Future Choices
The event left our students feeling motivated and excited about the potential careers in the creative industry. It also provided valuable guidance as they prepare to make their GCSE option choices later this year.
