

Students from St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College in Bishop Auckland once again demonstrated their talent and dedication as they travelled to York for the North East and Yorkshire regional finals of the National Schools Badminton Championships.
Both the KS3 and KS4 boys’ teams took part in a series of highly competitive matches, facing opponents from across the region. The standard of badminton on display was exceptional, offering the students valuable experience and the chance to test their skills against strong competition.
Despite the intensity of the games, the boys approached every match with impressive composure and determination. Staff accompanying the teams praised them for their outstanding behaviour, positive attitude, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the event.
Representing the school with pride, all players embodied the values of St John’s and contributed to a memorable day of high‑level school sport. Their commitment and conduct both on and off the court reflected the strong sporting culture at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form in Bishop Auckland.
