What an incredible evening we have had for our fourth annual Jaquie Holloway Prize for Performing Arts. It was a truly inspiring event which showcased the absolutely amazing range and level of talent we have here at St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College.
From our 12 finalists, each of whom performed with confidence, skill and passion, to our outstanding ensembles — including our choir, chamber choir, orchestra, and the cast of Little Shop of Horrors — every single student on stage shone brightly. The atmosphere throughout the evening reflected not only their exceptional talent but also their dedication and love for the performing arts.
Celebrating Our Winners
After a lengthy and thoughtful deliberation from our judges, we are delighted to congratulate our prize‑winners:
- 1st place – Ruby Wilson, Year 13 (Acting)
- 2nd place – Pippa Hill, Year 9 (Dance)
- 3rd place – Willow Dolan, Year 7 (Singing)
A huge well done to all of our finalists for their remarkable performances and for representing St John’s with such pride and professionalism.
Thank You to Our Judges
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our guest judges, Beth Sowerby and Phil Tait, both of whom brought a wealth of experience in the Performing Arts and hold special connections to St John’s. We were also honoured to have Mrs Holloway herself join us for this special event.
Gratitude to Our Performing Arts Team
A very special thank you must go to our exceptional Performing Arts Department — Miss Bell, Miss Liddle and Mrs Rose. Their hard work, vision and commitment ensure that events like this are possible, and they continue to nurture, develop and champion the wonderful talent of our students every single day.
Thank You to Our School Community
Finally, thank you to all parents, carers, family members, friends and staff who came along this evening. Your support and generosity enable us to continue offering our students the very best Performing Arts opportunities and experiences.
This year’s event was a truly memorable celebration of creativity, dedication and passion. We are incredibly proud of every student who took part, and we look forward to seeing how their talents continue to flourish in the years ahead.
