Bishop Auckland – Students from St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College have returned from a memorable trip to Paris, packed with cultural experiences, sightseeing, and exciting activities.

The group arrived safely in France and began their visit with a tour of the Stade de France. After a busy first afternoon, students settled into their accommodation ahead of their first evening in the city.

Iconic Landmarks and Cultural Experiences

During their time in Paris, students explored some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Highlights included a picnic at Sacré Cœur, followed by a visit to the Basilica, where pupils were able to take in the history and atmosphere of one of Paris’s most recognisable sites.

The group also visited the Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, before enjoying a relaxing boat trip along the River Seine. This gave students the chance to experience the city from a different perspective, taking in many of Paris’s historic and cultural sights.

A Magical Final Day

The trip ended on a high with a full day at Disney. This provided a fun and memorable conclusion to the visit, allowing students to celebrate their time together and enjoy a unique experience in a world-famous setting.

Students Praised for Positive Attitude

Staff praised the students for their behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the trip. Pupils made the most of every opportunity, embracing each activity and creating lasting memories along the way.

Their positive attitude and willingness to engage fully in each experience reflected the strong values of the school community.

Looking Ahead to Future Opportunities

The Paris trip is part of the school’s wider Soar and Explore programme, which offers students the chance to broaden their horizons through travel and enrichment opportunities.
