Students Inspired at Summer Festival 2026: Behold
A group of Year 9 and Year 10 students from St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College recently attended the annual Summer Festival at Emmaus Youth Village, organised by the Youth Ministry Team. This year's festival was centred on the theme "Behold", encouraging young people to recognise God's presence in their lives, embrace new opportunities and respond courageously to the challenges and possibilities before them.
Ash Wednesday Liturgies: Beginning Our Lenten Journey Together
During the final week of term, all year groups at St John’s Catholic Secondary School and Sixth Form came together to mark the beginning of Lent with meaningful Ash Wednesday liturgies. These reflective services offered students a moment of calm, focus and spiritual renewal as we entered this important season in the Church’s calendar.
Celebrating Compassion and Leadership at St John’s, Bishop Auckland
A huge well done to Daisy and Lucy in Year 12, who have truly embodied the spirit and values of St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College, Bishop Auckland. This week, they not only planned a moving whole‑school reflection for Holocaust Memorial Day, but also took the initiative to raise over £100 for the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust through their sweet stall.
