St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form is proud to celebrate recent sporting success, as three of our students took part in the 2026 Durham School Golf Championships held at Beamish Park this week. The competition was very well attended, with an exceptionally high standard of play throughout the event. Representing St John’s were Sam Johnston, Sam Ramsey and Emmanuel Reed, who competed with confidence and enthusiasm.

As part of their reward day, the students enjoyed an imaginative cinematic dining experience that brought the beloved story to life through food, creativity, and a shared love of reading.

A huge congratulations to our Year 8 and Year 9 girls’ netball teams, who delivered an outstanding performance at the Regional Schools Netball Tournament held at Sports Central yesterday. The team secured an impressive 3rd place, finishing just behind Barnard Castle and Dame Allan’s School.
